The left hand is factored and real value of x obtained. The right hand side doesn't belong.

Solve for x over the real numbers:

-2 (x-4) (2 x-15) = 0

Divide both sides by -2:

(x-4) (2 x-15) = 0

Split into two equations:

x-4 = 0 or 2 x-15 = 0

Add 4 to both sides:

x = 4 or 2 x-15 = 0

Add 15 to both sides:

x = 4 or 2 x = 15

Divide both sides by 2:

Answer: | x = 4                 or                  x = 15/2
