Let f(x)  =  3x^2 + 6x - 4

Then  f(x + 3)  will shift it 3 units to the left

So we have

3(x + 3)^2 + 6(x + 3)  - 4

3 ( x + 6x + 9) + 6x + 18 - 4

3x^2 + 18x + 27 + 6x + 14

3x^2 + 24x + 41
