a tiny square microprocessor in a mobile device has an area of 49/54 in 2.What is the side lenght of the microprocessor, and how many microprocessors could cover a square circuit board that has a side length of 3.5 inches?

The side length of the microprocessor  = sqrt [49 / 54]  = [ 7] / [3 sqrt(6)]  in

 

The  area of the circuit board  =  (3 .5)^2  in = 12.25 in^2

 

So

 

12.25 / [ 49 / 54]   =  about 13 microprocessors could fit
