Find the area of the triangle to the nearest tenth.

Image wont upload but sides are 4 cm (left side), 7 cm (right side), 9 cm (bottom) of triangle.

Heron's formula states that the area of a triangle whose sides have lengths a, b, and c is

A =   sqrt (   s ( s − a ) ( s − b ) ( s − c ) )

where s is the semi-perimeter of the triangle; that is,

s = (a + b + c) /2

sooooo    s = ( 4 + 7 + 9)/2 = 10

then  Area = sqrt  [ 10 ( 10-4) (10-7) (10-9)  ]               I believe you can finish tis now     cheeky
