We can combine like terms for this one. Since both 6 and 5 have a variable attached, and that variable is the same. So 6a+5a = 11a

So 11a = 11

We just devide each side by 11, to "move" the 11 onto the other side

a = 1 is your final answer.

I think Spawn missed the " -"   in front of the 11 which would change his answer to a = -1

No matter......he still gets 5 points.......

a=11/11
