Hi, I am having trouble with a math problem. Here's an example of what it looks like "4(x+2/3)-6." Can someone help me understand how to solve this problem? indecision

4(x+2/3)-6    distribute the  "4"  over the terms in the parentheses

4x + 8/3  - 6     =       write "6"   as "18/3"

4x + 8/3 - 18/3  =

4x - 10/3
