According to the Pythagorean theorem:   (height)2 + (length)2 = (hypotenuse)2

Plug in the values given in the problem:

(height)2 + (5)2 = (10)2

(height)2 + 25 = 100

(height)2 = 100 - 25

(height)2 = 75

height = +\(\sqrt{75}\)

height = \(5\sqrt3\)   cm
