do you cross multiply this?

 

3/100*1200=N please don't give me the answer I just need to know if you cross multiply or not

There is no cross multiplying here.  I do not like the term cross mutilpy at all anyway BUT

 

3/100*1200=N 

 

this is just     3/100*1200 = 36

 

and this is assigned the pronumeral N    (I mean it is called N)

 

N=36

 

Does that make sense. ?

let s wrote simpler:

\(\frac{\left(3\cdot 1200\right)}{100}=\frac{N}{1}\)

 

yes you can cross multiply this but you didn t need to
