How am i going to know,

when I need to adjust my calculator to radyan or degree?

Scientific or normal? I really need to know this.

In gereral, if degrees isn't indicated, radians is inplied. For instance, sin(45) implies 45 radians and sin(45°), of course, is degrees.

This is violated by many people  - including, yours truly -  from time to time. If a problem specifies degrees, I often omit the degree symbol, but it's not tecnically correct !!!
