How can i solve this: X/2-3(x+9)=X/5

X/2-3(x+9)=X/5

I am going to assume this is

(1/2)x - 3(x + 9)  = (1/5)x    rearrange as

(1/2)x - (1/5)x  = 3(x + 9)     get a common denominator on the left and simplify the right

([5 - 2]/10)x  = 3x + 27

(3/10)x = 3x + 27    multiply both sides by 10

3x = 30x + 270     subtract 30x from both sides

-27x = 270     divide both sides by -27

x = -10
