How can we change fractional forms to decimal forms?

In changing proper fractions into decimal forms, divide the numerator to its denominator.

Example: 8/10 -> 8 divided by 10 -> is equals to 0.8

Answer: 0.8

In changing mixed fractions into decimal forms, change it first to improper fraction then divide the numerator to its denominator. Simplify if possible.

Example: 15 4/8 -> first, multiply the denominator to its whole number (8x15=120)

                        -> then add the product to the numerator (120+4=124)

                        -> the sum will be the numerator and then copy the denominator (124/8)

                        -> after that, we will divide the numerator to its denominator

                           124/8 -> 124 divided by 8 -> is equals to 15.5

Answer: 15.5
