How can you make a fration with a different numerator than 1 on a scientific calculator?

you just type it in.  many calcs you can use the fractions button

you can on  the web2 calc too (see the sticky topics on your right)

or you can put it in with a /

I just entered this with the web2 calc

 

$${\frac{{\mathtt{5}}}{{\mathtt{6}}}} = {\mathtt{0.833\: \!333\: \!333\: \!333\: \!333\: \!3}}$$
