how do i calculate x^5 = 200? i have tried to do it with a simple second degree soultion :
x^5 = 200
div both sides with 5
x^2 = 40
and then i did the square root and got +- 6.32
however the teacher said i was wrong. Am i?
We need to take the fifth root of both sides (not divide by 5...)
Doing this, we have
x = 5√200 = about 2.885
