The pythagorean theorem. $${{\mathtt{a}}}^{{\mathtt{2}}}{\mathtt{\,\small\textbf+\,}}{{\mathtt{b}}}^{{\mathtt{2}}} = {{\mathtt{c}}}^{{\mathtt{2}}}$$. Using this formula no matter what side you have you should be able to solve it. For example if I had a right triangle and had an A with 4, B with 10, and no C I should be able to plug it into the above formula to solve.
