Take the log of both sides:

Log(Pi^x)=Log(74)

x Log(Pi)=Log(74)

x=Log(74)/Log(Pi)

x=1.869231.../.49714987....

x=3.759895......etc.

pi ≈ 3.14......so we have

(3.14)x = 74    take the log of both sides

log(3.14)x =log (74)    and, by a log property, we can write

x log(3.14)  = log(74)     divide both sides by log(3.14)

x = log(74) / log(3.14)  ≈    3.76156

Thanks, Anonymous....I gave a "truncated" pi value.....thus.....your answer is a little closer to the truth.....!!!!
