how do I know when to set my calculator to radians or degrees?  Obviously when the problem is in degrees, that is a clue....but what about a problem such as cot pie/12.

Well if the trig problem has got an angle with 'pi' in it then it is fair to assume that the angle is in radians.

However, if the problem has a pie in it then it just means that someone in hungry.

That is probably me, I'd love to have some apple pie with cream and ice cream right now.  surprise

WHEN THE ANGLE IS SPECIFIED EITHER IN DEGREES OR RADIANS: 2Pi Radians=360 Degrees.
