A ratio is just a fraction(I think)but you can lay it out different ways.

You can simplify a ratio by dividing both sides of the ratios by it HCF(Highest Common Factor).

Example: 4:8 the HCF is 4 so divid bothsides of the ratio

1:2

Am I right?
