How do I solve the quadriatic equation by factoring? 0=10x^2-15x

0=10x^2-15x

we don't need the quad formula, here....just factor

0 = 5x(2x -3)     and setting both factors to 0, we have

5x = 0                               and            2x - 3 = 0

divide both sides by 5                      add 3 to both sides 

x = 0                                                   2x = 3

                                                         divide both sides by 2

                                                             x = 3/2

 

So...the solutions are......x = 0   and x = 3/2
