How do i solve this: (ab^2)^3*b^-7/(a^-1*b)^-2

You cannot solve it because there is not = sign.

You can only simplify it.

 

$$\\\dfrac{(ab^2)^3*b^{-7}}{(a^{-1}*b)^{-2}}\\\\
=\dfrac{a^3b^6b^{-7}}{a^{-1*-2}*b^{-2}}\\\\
=\dfrac{a^3b^6b^{-7}}{a^{2}b^{-2}}\\\\
=\dfrac{a^3b^{6-7}}{a^{2}b^{-2}}\\\\
=\dfrac{a^3b^{-1}}{a^{2}b^{-2}}\\\\
=\dfrac{a^{3-2}b^{-1- -2}}{1}\\\\
=\dfrac{a^{1}b^{1}}{1}\\\\
=ab$$
