\(x+5y=7\) (2)
Now let's multiply (2) with -2
\(2x-3y=40\)
\(-2x-10y=-14\)
Add these two equations
\(-13y=26\)
\(y=-2\)
Now to find x you just substitute the value of y in either of the two equations
\(x+5y=7 ,x+5(-2)=7, x=7+10=17\)
So,
