How do I solve y=-6 if i am trying to find the y-intercept and slope?

The slope-intercept form for a straight line is:  y  =  mx + b

where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.

The equation  y  =  -6  can be written as  y  =  0x - 6,

showing that m (the slope) is 0 and that b (the y-intercept) is -6.
