how do i use the quadratic formula to solve a equation?

Quadratic FORMULA  is     x =   (   -b +- sqrt (b^2 - 4ac) )  /  2a

 

Once you get your quadratic EQUATION into the form     a x^2  +  b x  + c = 0    you can substitute the values for 'a' 'b' and 'c' into the FORMULA to find the values of 'x' that solve the equation!
