How do you calculate the height (thickness) of a "basketball"?

I have three solutions: 

  1. If you know the depth of it, you're good
  2. You could wrap a tape measure around it
  3. You could google the thickness of a basketball

Volume of a sphere= 4/3* pi* r3

Since pi is known, r can be calculated if you know the volume.
