how do you calculate the volume of a cylinder?

V = pi* r^2 * h

where r is the radius of the cylinder and h is the height

BTW.....If you click on the "Formulary" tab at the top of the page, you will find a "cylinder" app that will calculate the volume for you !!!

A cylinder is just a circular prism.

The volume of any prism is the area of the base multiplied by the height.

Area of a circle is $$\pi r^2$$

therefore volume of a cylinder is $$\pi r^2 h$$
