How do you convert a decimal into a fraction?

Nice, MG1....here's an example of what MG1 is taliking about

.34   =     put this over 1

.34 / 1  =    move the decimal two places on the top and add that many zeroes on the bottom

34 / 100   =   reduce the fraction  =

(17 x 2) / (50 x 2) = 

17 / 50

And that's it.....!!!

I wasn't too sure myself.

 

But i found this!

 

To convert a Decimal to a Fraction follow these steps:

Step 1: Write down the decimal divided by 1, like this: decimal/1
Step 2: Multiply both top and bottom by 10 for every number after the decimal point. (For example, if there are two numbers after the decimal point, then use 100, if there are three then use 1000, etc.)
Step 3: Simplify (or reduce) the fraction
