how do you find n when given an equation containing two fractions with one variable

I don't know if you possibly mean something like this, or not:

(5/3)n = (6/7)     But if you do.......multiply both sides by (3/5)   this gives us

n = (6/7)(3/5)    And multiplying the fractions, we have

n = 18/35
