I understand how to find the period with cos and sin, but finding the period of tanget really cofuses me every time I think i get it i'm off somehow. Any help would be apreciated.

That IS the graph of a tangent function....specifically  tan (x/3)

 

The period is the distance on the x-axis before the graph repeats itself

 

3pi/2 - - 3pi/2 = 3pi
