Just divide the numerator by the denominator....that will give you your decimal equivalent.

You divide 100 by the denominator (bottom #) and multiply that answer by the numerator (top #).

Example: 2/5 in decimals is 100 divided by 5 = 20 and then 20 times 2 = 40. Since decimals are out of 100 your answer wound be 2/5 = 0.4
