how do you solve (11x + 7)^2= 105

(11x + 7)^2= 105     let's use the square root property on this one...taking both roots on the right ....we have

11x + 7 = ±√105     subtract 7 from both sides

11x =  [±√105 - 7 ]    divide both sides by 11

x = [±√105 - 7 ] / 11

BTW...this is the same answer as we would have found by expanding the original left hand side, rearranging, and then using the Quadratic Formula.....
