How do you solve for x in this case? 1.06^x=2

Here is another answer :)   they will give the same answer.

 

$$\\1.06^x=2\\\\
log(1.06^x)=log2\\\\
xlog1.06=log2\\\\
x=\frac{log2}{log1.06}\\\\$$

divide by 1.06 (both sides) so it would look like 1.06x/1.06=2/1.06 which would give you 1.88679
