x+x+2x+3-2=37

First you move all thevariables(x's) the left and the constant to the right.

x+x+2x+3-2=37

You then move the positive 3 to the right which turns into a negative 3. And the negative 2 to the right which turns into positive 2. You move the constant to the right and the charges change to the opposite of what the charge was.

x+x+2x=-3+2+37

You add them up together.

x+x+2x

It turns into 4x

-3+2+37

Equals to 36

4x=36

You then divide 36 by 4 and it equals to 9. Because 9 times 4 equals to 36.

x=9

Hope this help you.

x+x+2x+3-2=37  simplify the left side

4x + 3 - 2   = 37

4x + 1  = 37    subtract 1 from both sides

4x = 36   divide both sides by 4

x = 9
