How many zeros and ones(0s, 1s) are there between 1 and 100,000 inclusive? Remember that a number such as 111 has 3 "1s". Similarly, 1000 has 3 zeros and one "1". Thanks for help

Between 1 and 999 =189 zeros and 300 "1s"
Between 1,000 and 9,999 =2,700 zeros and 3,700 "1s"
Between 10,000 and 99,999 =36,000 zeros and 46,000 "1s"
100,000 =5 zeros and one "1". So, the total will be:
189 + 2,700 + 36,000 + 5 =38,894 "zeros", and:
300 + 3,700 + 46,000 + 1 =50,001 "ones"
