How can pi be an irrational number if it is ratio of circumfirence and diameter of the circle? Every irrational number can't be presented by sum, diffrence, product or ratio.

Because even though the diameter can be known with ABSOLUTE PRECISION, the same cannot be said about the CIRCUMFERENCE of a given circle!!. Example: If a diameter of a particular circle is 10 units, then the circumference will be only an approximate number. In this case: Pi x 10 =31.41592........etc. units. On the other hand, if you knew the circumference with great precision, such as 30 units, then you can NEVER measure the diameter with absolute precision.

At least, that is my undestanding of it.

"Irrational" means cannot be expressed as the ratio of two integers (I.e. whole numbers).  So you could never have a circumference divided by a diameter which could be represented by the ratio of two whole numbers.
