You take one of the known point(s) on the line and using the slope you can figure it out. The y-intercept is where the line meets the y-axis. For example:

if for a certain line

slope = 3

known point(s) (-4,-1)

answer = (-1,0)

because slope = rise/run for every time the slope rises by 3 it runs by 1 and you can keep doing this until you find the y-inter cept , which is when the x-coordinate = 0.
