How do you graph y=-1/4x-2 using the slope intercept form or something like that?

Also, I forgot to mention...to get the front half of the graph, you have go the opposite way (4 units to the left and then 1 unit up)

 

It's likely easier to just plug in numbers though like -4, -2, 0, 2, 4 into the function and connect the dots!

You start with a point at (0, -2) because the y-intercept is -2 (when x = 0, y = -2).

Then, you basically do rise over run...in this case, you have a negative slope of (-1/4) so you go down one unit and then 4 to the right...continue the process...
