how to solve cubic equation?

We can try to factor, first.....if no factorization is possible, we might try to use the "Rational Roots" theorem to see if there are any real "zeros" that would reduce this to a quadratic - which can then be "solved."

Barring that, there is a general "formula," but it's pretty "sticky."....I won't attempt to write it out, but if you're interested, it's presented here......

Of course....using a graphing program like Desmos is always a good option, too!!!
