How To Solve Quadratic Equation In Standard Form?
I don't really understand how to solve them. for example how do you factor a standard form problem?
standard form f(x) = a x^2 + b x + c
you can solve it by the Quadratic Formula :
\(x = {-b \pm \sqrt{b^2-4ac} \over 2a}\)
or if it is 'easy' you can solve it by factoring
example x^2 + 6x +5 = 0
factors to (x+3)(x+2) = 0 then x = -3 or -2
