How to solve?

fx = -2ex

using 2.71828 as e and x = 3

Can use the graphic calculator, but unsure if I am doing this correctly.

f(3) = -2(e)3

Where 3f = -2(2.71828)3 is 3f = -2(20.086)

Then 3f = -40.172 then divide the three to each side to get 'f' by itself,

3f/3 = -40.172/3 which is f = -13.391

So my answer is -13.391, right? Or is my math flawed? I am pretty inept at this stuff...

f(3) is just -2*e^3 = -2*2.71828^3 = -40.171

You just replace x in the function by 3, you don't multiply the result by 3.

Ah, thanks for that. I didn't understand that that was all I had to do. Lol!
