x/5-(1-2x)/10=x

Let's see......let's simplify this, first......
What we really have is........(1/5)x - (1/10) + (2/10)x = x
We can reduce the (2/10)x to (1/5)x
So we have .....
(1/5)x - (1/10) + (1/5)x = x...and combining like terms, we have
(2/5)x - (1/10) = x
Now, subtract the (2/5)x from both sides..this gives
- (1/10) = (3/5)x....Now..multiply both sides by the reciprocal of (3/5), i.e., (5/3)....so we have
- (1/10)* (5/3) = x
so, x = - (5/30) = - (1/6)

And there you are.......

My guess is that you accidently calculated x/5+(1-2x)/10 = x instead of x/5-(1-2x)/10=x
