The two sides will have the same length.  Pythagorean Theorem says

a^2 + b^2 = c^2    where 'a' and 'b'   are teh sides and 'c' is the hypot.

AND in this case  a=b     so    2a^2 = 5^2

a^2 = 25/2

a^2 = 12.5

a = sqrt12.5 = 3.54
