Given that f(x)=x^2-2x+5 and g(x)+x+3, what is the value of f(g(5))-g(f(5))?

f(5) =5^2-2(5)+5 = 20

g(5) = 5+3 = 8

 

f(g(5))-g (f(5))   then equals    f(8) -g(20)   =  8^2-2(8)+5   -  (20+3)       I'll let you finish....
