Given the function f(x) = 4x - 2, determine each of the following:
ex. \({f^{-1}(4)} \)
I know this is an inverse function, but I'm not exactly sure the steps I should take. The textbook's answer is \({3 \over 2}\).
f^-1(4), f(x)=4x-2, 4=4x-2, 4x=6, x=6/4, x=3/2. So, \(f^-1(4)=\frac{3}{2}\).
