i dont understand 1/x = 0.016

1/x = 0.016 cross multiply

0.016x=1 divide both sides by 0.016

x=1/0.016

x=62 1/2

I think of it slightly differently.

 

\(\frac{1}{x} = 0.016\\ \frac{1}{x} = \frac{0.016}{1}\\ Turn\; both\;sides\; upside\;down\\ \frac{x}{1} = \frac{1}{0.016}\\ x= \frac{1}{0.016}\\ \)

 

Then finish it on a calc :)
