Well, on many calculators there is no way, you just have to divide out the fraction. For example the fraction 3/4 = 3÷4=0.75. This makes it much easier to work with on a calculator.
You put the fraction in parentheses. For example, if your fraction is $${\frac{{\mathtt{4}}}{{\mathtt{5}}}}$$, you would enter it like this, (4/5). Ask me if you have any questions!!!
