Put 5/6-3/4 over the common denominator 12. 5/6-3/4  =  (2×5)/12+(3 (-3))/12:
(2×5)/12+(3 (-3))/12

 

2×5  =  10:
10/12+(3 (-3))/12

 

3 (-3)  =  -9:
10/12+-9/12

 

10/12-(9)/12  =  (10-9)/12:
(10-9)/12

 

10-9 = 1:
Answer: |  1/12
