Find the length of the missing side of the trapezoid below.
I GOT SQRT 40, BUT IT SAYS MY ANSWER IS WRONG ;-;
I've been re doing this problem for the past 30 minutes, and I still keep getting THE SAME ANSWER.. :(
I would appreciate the help alot!
So basically, this is what I did to get sqrt 40..
I added a line to creat right triangle with base 3 and hypotnuse 4
\(3^2+b^2=7^2\)
9+b^2=49
49-9=b
answer would be \(\sqrt{40} \)
But somehow its wrong so idk :(
someone help! :(
thnx!
The missing side is definitely: sqrt(40) = 6.325 - which gives an area of trapezoid as: 41.11
The two missing angles are: 64.62 and 115.38
Sum of the 4 angles = 90 + 90 + 64.62 + 115.38 = 360 degrees.
Perimeter ==5 + 7 + 8 + 6.325 = 26.325
Sorry meant hypotnuse 7!
The missing length is sqrt(42).
