i have 65 pencils and i put in 3 groups how much are in the 3 groups?

65 divided by 3 is 21.6666666667 which means there will be 21 pencils in each group but what do we with the decimals??? multiply 21 by 3 to find out how many pencils there are left over. 21 x 3 = 63 which means there will be 21 pencils in each group and 2 pencils left over
