Ah....I didn't see it as an equation.....
If it's an equation, we have
G = 5G + 8 subtract 5G from both sides
-4G = 8 divide by -4 on both sides
G = -2
If G = 5
Then.....G + 8 must just be 5 + 8 = 13
It can't be because the 2 G have to be the same number, otherwise they would be different letters.
