Let be a point on the graph of equation, (x-94)^2 + (y-49)^2 = 44^2. What is the shortest possible distance between P and the x-axis?

This is a  circle  with  a  radius of  44   and a  center of  ( 94, 94)

Let  P  be  the  minimum  value of  y  on the circle.....this will  be (94, 94 - 44)  = (94, 50)

So.....the  shortest distance  between  P  and the  x  axis =   50
