Spongebob is grilling Krabby Patties. Patties come in packages of size 7, buns come in packages of 9, paper plates come in packages of 10, and napkins come in packages of 50. What is the least number of packages of patties that Spongebob can purchase, so that there will be the same number of patties, buns, plates, and napkins?

Least Common Multiple is 3150       3150/7 = 450 pkgs

By prime factorization:

7 = 71

9=  32

10 = 2 x 5

50 = 2 x 52

Take the red numbers (this is where that number occurs most often in the factorizations) and multiply them together:

7 x 3 x 3 x 2 x 5 x 5 = 3150
